Rejections
Uhm well it's placement season and people are getting upset with rejections, but as a wise man in told once in a Ted talk on rejections. It's more important to ask why you were rejected and correct yourself than to take it personally and do nothing about it. Sometimes there maybe a point in being rejected and the best people always learn their lessons.
So take rejections as an opportunity to improve ourselves by asking why and make the corrections to reach the global optima instead of being happy at staying at some local optima.
I know you are miles ahead of me in every thing you do, but I just didn't see the local and global optima thing coming!!!
ReplyDeleteFor the future me who is reading this after some years from when it was written, let me reemphasize what's the excitement is all about!
I obviously had no time to go through Matty's great blog in the time between travelling to college, getting rejected and returning back home. So Obviously I had no clue of this post until now.
And 16 days later after he posted this, I got placed and posted a whatsapp status that read something like, "I have reached local optima and I wish we reach global optima as a class"!!
And less than a week after that, I read this post!!
You don't have to be a genius to figure out that the great Matty is well ahead of people of his time or atleast me!!
Die :P
